P.E.

Please ensure that your child has a white T-shirt and black shorts.  It would also be helpful if they had a pair of joggers, trainers and a jumper for if we manage to do P.E. outdoors.  Children should come into school wearing their P.E. kits on a Monday. Swimming will be completed throughout the year. Firstly from September to December. Please check your emails for updates on when swimming will occur.

Homework

Homework is sent out on a Wednesday and is to be returned to school on the following Wednesday at the latest.  Homework entails children reading, learning their times tables (using Times Tables Rockstars) and completing their pink spelling book. Children have a Blue Home Spelling book which they take home after their spelling tests.

Spelling Homework

Spellings are given out on a Wednesday. Blue spellings books are to be completed daily and Pink sentence books are to be returned the following Wednesday at the latest.  

Blue book

• Practice spellings each night - 5 times in a week
• Look – cover – write
• Bring in everyday

Pink book

• Write 10 Sentences using 10 words from spellings list
• Find definition and use in a sentence
• Bring in Wednesday or earlier if finished.

Spelling tests

We complete our spelling tests every Wednesday and write our new spellings in after our test.
